Knowledge Base
The Q Knowledge Base is introduced with this release.
Extension Field Events
Q Extension infrastructure now supports Field Events. Districts may now create situations where once a checkbox field is checked, related fields then appear, or cascading dropdowns where the values displayed in a drop-down list are dependent on the value selected in a previous field.
This change is implemented for Q, Parent Connect, Pre-Enrollment and FS Online Applications. See System - Extension Editor for more details.
Project: Session State
Q is moving to a new session management method using StateServer, which will help prevent session loss during web server maintenance and support an upgrade to the latest .NET environment for improved performance. Most application updates are complete, while report updates are still in progress. The full project is expected to be completed for the November release. This work is going on behind the scenes and users will not see any impact of it in this release.
Grade Book
- Shows when a student is not enrolled in a class on an assignment due date and will exclude possible points for assignments due during a gap in enrollment.
ParentConnect Manager
- Added ability to preview the Reenrollment Update Steps as they will appear in ParentConnect for the user.
Re-Enrollment Manager
- New application to display the status and data from ParentConnection Re-Enrollment.
Q Forms - Add On Product
- Paging added to Review and Communications tabs
- Color coding / legend shows status when editing recipients.
- Saved to documents indicator on Review tab.
- Mail Merge options added.
- Options to resend emails in Communications tab.
- Forms Designer - Preview Data Fields moved to Preview mode making it easier to test.
