The Recalculate Credit selection is used to fix classes where wrong credits were assigned. First, fix the credits issue and then run Recalculate Credit. This option is only available to be run only with the Class Selection Filter and when checked, disables the other option check boxes.

Example:

  1. Term = Semester 1
  2. Grad & GPA Credits reflect 2.5 credits.

In this example the course below should award 5.0 credits at the end of Semester 1.

Before running Recalc Credits

  1. Fixing the credits at the source. In District courses you will want to look up the course or courses that have incorrect credits being posted. Below you can see that the Grad and GPA Credits show 2.50.
  2. To correct the credits, just change the 2.50 credits to reflect 5.00 and a popup will reflect the following choices. Majority of the time you will want to Update existing record option.



    Once credits have been updated, navigate to Marks Processing
  3. Select desired Term to Recalculate Credits for
  4. Select the Track to process
  5. Check the box next to Recalculate Credit
  6. The Dates reflected are the Enroll/Exit dates populated in Term Dates of Marks Processing.
  7. Select Teacher
  8. If you select Teacher, this will only show the classes this teacher teachers so you can select the correct section that should have credits recalculated.

NOTE

You can use other selection choices to zero in on the classes that have the incorrect Credits to recalculate.

Important

In order use the Recalculate Credits, the Selection must be a ‘Class’ selection, which can be switched by clicking on theand selecting Class instead of Student.

After running the process to recalculate credits, please navigate to Class Marks for at least one of the courses to verify the credits are showing correctly.

Additional Steps: If the marks and credits have been posted to Academic History and/or GPA’s have been calculated and the credits have been reviewed and are showing correctly, you will need to run through the same processes previously run for this term like Post to History, Calculate GPA & Rank, Calculate Current GPA/Eligibility etc.
